There's Definitely More

This is just the basics on how to move your Twitter life to Mastodon. It's really not as complex as people make it out to be. I have intentionally not discussed "the fediverse" and "timelines" and all that -- I don't think that's relevant to most folks' use cases anyway. And it raises the bar to entry, making it seem like Mastodon is something hard to understand.

It's interesting stuff, for sure. But did you learn all about how email servers work together when you signed up for your email account? Of course not. There are lots of future possibilities with Mastodon specifically, and federation in general, that could make a big difference in how microblogging social media services work. But for right now, if you want to just move from Twitter to Mastodon and find your people, I hope this has been helpful in your quest.
